Job Description

We are seeking a high-calibre Senior Client Relationship Manager with a unique blend of strategic business development, healthcare industry expertise, and creative brand management. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team to strengthen ties with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), particularly within the Mainland China Shipping market. You will also spearhead the company's digital transformation in client data management while upholding the highest standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for established marine agencies and promising new marine agencies, ensuring long-term retention and satisfaction.
  • Act as a strategic bridge between the company and internal/external stakeholders, delivering high-level presentations in Mandarin and progress reports with clarity and executive presence.
  • Navigate the complexities of the Maritime sector to provide tailored solutions that align with clinical and corporate requirements.
  • Lead the strategy to identify and acquire new corporate clients in the Mainland China Shipping market, leveraging an existing network or past experience with entities.
  • Develop and execute localised business development plans that respect the Chinese corporate culture while maintaining international standards.
  • Must be able to conduct complex negotiations in Mandarin and build rapport to cater to the client base. The ability to read and comprehend contracts written in Mandarin is absolutely essential!
  • Manage and mentor a relationship management team, setting clear KPIs and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Conduct regular reviews and provide professional development opportunities to ensure the team meets or exceeds annual growth targets.
  • Lead the digital transformation of the company's client database, migrating legacy systems to secure, scalable digital platforms.
  • Ensure all client data management practices comply with local and international regulations (e.g., PDPA), maintaining the highest level of information security and confidentiality.
  • Provide professional advice and creative support for corporate branding and image promotion to ensure a premium market position.

Language proficiency:

  • Fluency in English, Mandarin. (written and spoken)

.High proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin is a non-negotiable requirement due to the nature of the role, which involves handling Mandarin-language contracts, negotiations, and business communications with Mainland China Shipping clients who operate primarily in Mandarin.

  • Proficiency in Cantonese is required for effective communication with specific regional stakeholders (i.e. our existing clients in Hong Kong and Guang Zhou)

Job Experience:

  • Minimum of Bachelor or Master's Degree in Business or Management is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Client Relationship Management or Business Development in a Mandarin-speaking environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role with proven team-management success.
  • Solid industry knowledge background or strong exposure to Mainland Mandarin environment is mandatory.
  • Proven track record of working with large companies in China deep understanding of the Chinese business landscape and corporate protocols
  • Technical &Creative Skills:
  • A strong portfolio or track record demonstrating superior business judgement and creative execution.
