The Senior Client Partner/ Account Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic client relationships to drive long-term business growth. Acting as a trusted advisor, the successful candidate will understand customers business priorities, shape innovative IT solutions, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
This role is accountable for account growth, client satisfaction, and profitability through effective account planning, strategic engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and strengthen long-term relationships with key client stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve revenue growth, profitability, and customer retention objectives.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities for account expansion through upselling, cross-selling, and new service offerings.
- Drive account growth by understanding clients business challenges and aligning IT solutions to their strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with delivery, solution, technical, and commercial teams to ensure successful execution and high-quality service delivery.
- Lead regular business reviews, executive engagements, client presentations, and account planning sessions.
- Monitor account performance, forecast revenue accurately, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Stay informed of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments to proactively identify new business opportunities.
- Resolve client issues effectively while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Mentor and support junior account management professionals, contributing to team capability and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 8 -10 years of experience in IT services sales or account management, with a proven track record of managing and growing strategic accounts.
- Experience selling into or managing Singapore Public Sector accounts is highly preferred, with established relationships and a strong understanding of government procurement processes.
- Demonstrated experience in account farming, client retention, and expanding existing customer portfolios.
- Strong strategic account planning skills, including the ability to identify growth opportunities and develop actionable account strategies.
- Experience in sales forecasting, financial planning, revenue management, and pipeline management.
- Proven ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to engage senior executives and influence decision-making.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and committed to continuous learning in technology and industry trends.
- Experience managing enterprise or large-scale government accounts within the IT services or digital transformation industry.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Account Executive (CAE), Certified Strategic Account Manager (CSAM), or equivalent sales/account management certifications are desirable.
