The Senior Civil Engineer provides comprehensive civil design and project delivery support for infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and team leadership. The role involves leading design activities, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting project delivery across multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver preliminary and detailed civil design for infrastructure projects, including roadworks, earthworks, sewerage, water, and drainage systems.
- Perform engineering design calculations, prepare sketch drawings, and develop technical submissions, tender documents, and proposals.
- Prepare, consolidate, and review technical reports and studies, particularly for water‑related projects.
- Lead and delegate tasks within the project team, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and supervision to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of design outputs.
- Ensure all designs comply with Project Design Criteria, Client Briefs, Approved Concepts, relevant statutory requirements, and internal design standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and authorities to support smooth project delivery and timely approvals.
- Support business development activities, including technical and commercial proposal development and maintaining effective working relationships with local authorities and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across geographies and markets, contributing technical expertise and supporting knowledge sharing opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification, with PE registration being an advantage.
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure design and project delivery.
- Strong technical expertise in roadworks, drainage, sewerage, water supply, and earthworks projects.
- Proficient in engineering design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with experience in technical submissions and reports.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and multidisciplinary coordination skills, with familiarity in local authority requirements and approvals.
