Position Overview

The employer is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead the planning and execution of industrial, warehouse, factory, commercial, and infrastructure construction projects. The successful candidate will oversee the complete project lifecycle—from planning and contractor coordination through construction, commissioning, and final handover—ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop project schedules, milestones, and execution plans.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure successful delivery across all phases of construction.
Site Management
  • Oversee daily construction activities and site operations.
  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
  • Monitor construction quality and workmanship standards.
  • Resolve site-related issues to maintain project progress.
Contractor & Consultant Coordination
  • Manage contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Review contractor performance and ensure timely execution of work.
  • Coordinate project meetings and maintain effective stakeholder communication.
  • Resolve technical and operational issues during construction.
  • Ensure seamless coordination among all project stakeholders.
Budget & Cost Control
  • Monitor project costs and expenditures.
  • Review quotations, variation orders, and contractor claims.
  • Support procurement and vendor evaluation activities.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of project resources.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building regulations, authority requirements, and industry standards.
  • Implement quality control procedures and monitor adherence to project specifications.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, and project approvals.
  • Maintain the highest standards of construction quality.
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
  • Ensure all site activities comply with HSE regulations and company policies.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across project teams and contractors.
  • Monitor implementation of safety plans and corrective actions.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
  • Provide management with updates on schedules, budgets, risks, and project performance.
  • Escalate critical issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Represent the employer in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Preferred Certifications
  • PMP, PMI, or equivalent Project Management certification.
  • Professional Engineering certifications are an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 8–15 years of relevant construction management experience.
  • Proven experience delivering industrial, warehouse, factory, logistics, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects from design coordination through construction and final handover.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, and project controls.
  • Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities.
  • UAE/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.
