We're looking for a Senior Chemist to join our quality team and take ownership of daily lab operations in a dynamic food/dairy production environment.

About the Role

As a Senior Chemist, you'll be responsible for managing and coordinating all lab activities to ensure product quality and compliance. You'll play a key role in maintaining lab procedures, supporting continuous improvement, and collaborating with both internal teams and external partners. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Planning and coordinating weekly lab schedules based on production timelines
  • Managing lab equipment maintenance and liaising with external service providers
  • Troubleshooting lab-related issues and ensuring smooth operations
  • Ordering and managing lab chemicals and consumables
  • Overseeing Finished Product Analysis (FPA) and Raw Material Quality (RMQ) processes
  • Evaluating out-of-specification results and recommending corrective actions
  • Reviewing finished product data and preparing Certificates of Analysis
  • Authorizing the release of raw materials
  • Maintaining and updating lab procedures in line with quality standards
  • Collaborating with other departments and external laboratory partners

About You

We're looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a practical, hands-on mindset. Ideally, you have:

  • 6 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the food or dairy industry
  • A strong understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement processes
  • Solid written and spoken English communication skills
  • An analytical and detail-oriented mindset
  • The ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as within a team
  • A structured and project-oriented approach to tasks
  • A solution-focused attitude with a collaborative, hands-on mentality
