Senior C++ Software Engineer – Ultra Low Latency Trading

Hyphen is partnering with a globally renowned proprietary trading firm to hire experienced C++ engineers to build the technology behind high-performance electronic trading. You'll work directly with traders and quantitative researchers on systems where engineering quality and performance have an immediate impact on trading outcomes.

You'll be working on:

• Ultra-low latency trading systems
• Pricing and execution platforms
• Market data infrastructure
• Research and backtesting platforms
• Performance optimisation across Linux and modern C++

We're looking for engineers with:

• 3+ years of commercial C++ development experience (modern C++17/20 preferred)
• Strong computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, concurrency, operating systems)
• Experience building performance-critical, distributed or low-latency systems
• Linux development experience
• Python for tooling, automation or research workflows

Particularly interested in candidates from:

• Proprietary trading firms
• HFTs / market makers
• Quantitative hedge funds
• Systematic trading firms
• Low-latency infrastructure teams

Experience with trading systems, market data, quantitative research infrastructure or exchange connectivity is highly regarded, but exceptional systems engineers from other high-performance domains are also encouraged to apply.
