About the Role
The Senior Buyer is responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and purchasing electronic components and commodities such as memory, storage, and CPUs to meet project and order requirements. This role plays a key part in executing procurement strategies, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting the overall efficiency of the supply chain within a fast-paced, global electronics environment.
Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and purchase electronic components (memory, storage, CPU) based on project and order needs.
- Identify, qualify, and manage relationships with local and overseas suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
- Conduct market analysis on commodity trends, costs, and availability to support pricing and procurement decisions.
- Execute purchase orders, track deliveries, and expedite orders to meet customer timelines and internal KPIs.
- Support procurement strategy implementation, cost optimization, and supplier development initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience purchasing electronic components or related commodities in a tactical or strategic capacity.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills with experience in supplier sourcing and cost benchmarking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint comfortable handling data, budgets, and purchase metrics.
- Proven ability to prioritize, work independently, and perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred candidates with strong electronics procurement experience will also be considered.
