Job Description

Responsibilities

Market Development & Strategic Growth

  • Implement go-to-market initiatives for maritime digital solutions, focusing on shipowners, charterers, ports, insurers, classification societies, and other key maritime stakeholders.

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities across core maritime sectors, including vessel performance, inspections, ESG, Marine Assurance, and Vetting solutions.

  • Perform market research, competitor analysis, and industry assessments to strengthen product positioning and support pricing strategies.

Sales & Business Development

  • Manage the complete sales process from lead generation through contract negotiation and closing, including pipeline management, RFP submissions, and commercial discussions.

  • Partner with pre-sales, marketing, and product teams to deliver customised solution presentations, demonstrations, and compelling value propositions.

  • Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales and revenue objectives.

Client Engagement & Account Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including Fleet Managers, Chartering Directors, HSE Managers, and other senior stakeholders.

  • Act as a trusted business partner by advising clients on leveraging digital solutions to improve fleet safety, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and sustainability performance.

  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling of products and services.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Gather and communicate customer feedback and market intelligence to Product and Go-To-Market teams to support solution enhancements and future development.

  • Collaborate with Go-To-Market teams to strengthen market messaging, lead generation initiatives, and business development strategies.

  • Work closely with Customer Experience teams to ensure successful onboarding, maximise customer adoption, and support long-term client retention.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in driving new business acquisition and delivering revenue growth, preferably within the maritime, chartering, SaaS, technology, or digital solutions sectors.

  • Hands-on experience managing sales pipelines, forecasting, and reporting through Salesforce or equivalent CRM platforms, with the ability to use sales data to support business decisions.

  • Familiarity with digital sales strategies, including self-service models, digital lead generation, or product-led customer acquisition, is an advantage.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret market insights and translate them into effective sales strategies.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively within regional and global teams.

  • Experience in enhancing brand visibility through the planning and execution of branding and marketing initiatives.

  • Passionate about contributing to the advancement of safety, environmental responsibility, and social sustainability within the maritime industry.
