Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Reinsurance Domain Leadership

  • Document and optimise business processes across:

. Treaty underwriting & contract lifecycle
. Facultative risk placement & approval workflow
. Technical accounting (premium, claims, adjustments)
. Claims lifecycle (Treaty & Facultative)
. Bordereaux processing
. Retrocession arrangements

  • Define unified operating model across both lines where possible.

2. Technology Modernisation Delivery

  • Lead requirements for core system replacement or modernisation initiatives. Conduct:

. As-Is / To-Be process mapping
. Gap analysis
. Functional & technical specifications
. Data migration mapping
. Integration requirements (Finance, Risk, Exposure systems)

  • Support SIT, UAT, parallel runs and go-live.

3. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with:

. Treaty Underwriters
. Facultative Underwriters
. Claims & Technical Accounting teams
. Finance & Risk
. IT & Vendors

  • Facilitate workshops and drive consensus across multiple business lines.

4. Data, Reporting & Regulatory

  • Define reporting requirements for:

. GWP / Net / Ceded reporting
. Exposure aggregation
. IFRS 17
. MAS and APAC regulatory frameworks

  • Support reconciliation and data governance initiatives.

Requirements

Mandatory:

  • 7+ years in Reinsurance.
  • Proven hands-on exposure to BOTH Treaty and Facultative business.
  • Delivered at least one core system implementation or major modernisation program in conjunction with business users, technology teams (in-house & external vendors)
  • Strong documentation and process modelling capability.
  • Experience in stakeholder management across underwriting & finance.
  • Experience with SAP FS-RI, SICS, TIA or proprietary reinsurance platforms.
