Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager – Master Data Management
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Project Manager to support a regional Master Data Management (MDM) transformation programme across APAC.
Based in Singapore, you will work closely with business stakeholders, data owners and technical teams to drive requirements gathering, data governance, process design and change enablement across multiple markets.
What you'll be working on:
- Lead business analysis and project coordination for Master Data Management initiatives across APAC.
- Partner with business stakeholders and project teams to gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements.
- Develop clear documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, data mapping and source-to-target requirements.
- Analyse and understand how master data is sourced, transformed, governed and consumed across business processes and systems.
- Support MDM initiatives across domains such as Customer, Product and Employee Master Data.
- Define and document data governance processes, including data stewardship roles, approval workflows, escalation processes and operating procedures.
- Support the development of source-of-truth, data ownership and survivorship rules for master data attributes.
- Define and support data quality standards, rules, thresholds, remediation processes and service-level expectations.
- Work closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into data and system requirements.
- Support discussions relating to SQL-based data pipelines and understand the flow of data across source, staging and downstream systems.
- Drive stakeholder engagement across business, commercial, IT and data teams.
- Support change management, communication planning, user adoption and training activities.
- Establish governance forums, reporting requirements and KPIs to monitor data quality and operational performance.
- Track project deliverables, facilitate discussions and help drive alignment and decisions across stakeholders.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager or PM/BA supporting enterprise data, digital transformation or Master Data Management programmes.
- Strong understanding of Master Data Management concepts and data lifecycle, including how data is sourced, transformed, governed and utilised.
- Experience with one or more master data domains, such as Customer, Product or Employee Data.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering and producing high-quality functional documentation, process flows and data mapping documents.
- Good understanding of data governance, data stewardship, data quality, source prioritisation and change management.
- Ability to work effectively between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Working knowledge of SQL and a good understanding of data pipelines and data flows.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to lead discussions across regional and cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting APAC or other multi-country regional programmes will be highly advantageous.
- Self-driven and comfortable working in a complex, fast-paced transformation environment.
