Job Description

Our client, one of the leading Insurance companies in Asia, is actively seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their BA Team. You will work actively with the Lead Business Analyst, and act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the delivery team. For the role, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving requirements, sprint activities, UAT, demos, and training across markets.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited to a commercially aware professional who can challenge requirements, navigate cross-functional complexity, and take full ownership of delivery outcomes in a fast-paced, multi-market program environment.

Main Responsibilities

Business Requirements & Analysis

  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements for PAS enhancements and new market onboarding.
  • Translate insurance business processes into precise functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct gap analyses between existing platform capabilities and market-specific regulatory and operational requirements proactively identifying and resolving ambiguities before they impact delivery.

Agile Delivery & Sprint Management

  • Facilitate and actively participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain a well-prioritized product backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner and development team, tracking sprint progress and resolving blockers to sustain delivery momentum.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business users, IT, and cross-functional departments throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with China-based teams on system configurations and cross-market alignment, conducting meetings and producing documentation in both English and Mandarin.
  • Prepare and present status updates, business case documentation, and programme reports to senior stakeholders.

System Rollout, Demo & Market Onboarding

  • Lead end-to-end onboarding of new markets onto the PAS platform, encompassing configuration review, data migration support, and go-live readiness.
  • Conduct system demonstrations for business users and senior stakeholders, clearly articulating features, workflows, and business value.

UAT & Training

  • Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing, including development of test scenarios, coordination of business testers, defect tracking, and formal sign-off.
  • Design and deliver structured user training programs supported by clear reference materials for each market rollout.
  • Provide post-go-live support and channel iterative feedback into the ongoing product backlog.

⇒ Qualifications & Experience

  • Insurance Domain Expertise (Mandatory)
  • Professional Experience: 5–10 years of Business Analyst experience within financial services, insurance, or enterprise system implementation.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering BA work within agile/scrum environments, including sprint facilitation and backlog management.
  • Proven experience across system rollouts, UAT coordination, and end-user training for enterprise platforms.
  • Strong documentation capability across BRDs, user stories, process flow diagrams, test plans, and training materials.
  • Full professional fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is required for effective collaboration with China-based teams. Cantonese proficiency is an advantage, particularly for engagement with the Hong Kong market.
  • Regional Experience Prior exposure to multi-market delivery across Hong Kong, Singapore, and Mainland China is a strong advantage.
  • Highly structured analytical thinker with a proactive, problem-solving orientation.
  • Extremely autonomous, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently.
  • Equally comfortable engaging technical delivery teams and senior business leadership.
  • Pragmatic and delivery-focused, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and drive outcomes in complex transformation programs.
