Senior Business Analyst (Financial Institution)
Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their IT Applications team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather and define requirements for banking applications, support the development and implementation of technology solutions, and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with a wide spectrum of business users, including Bankers, Traders, Finance, Risk, Capital Markets, and Operations teams, to understand their needs and processes and translate them into clear requirement specifications.
- Work on the whole solution lifecycle from Coding/Development of solution, unit testing, support user in UAT, validate results, and implementation in production.
- Liaise with Head Office and/or vendors on projects and issues where needed.
- Provide day-to-day application support to users.
- System enhancement, code changes, and ensure these are managed and implemented timely and smoothly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Min 6 years of proven experience in IT Business Analysis, specifically in the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong coding experience is required.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and/or hands-on experience in the following areas:
- SQL, Data ETL, Hive and data presentation
- Python Development, expertise in at least one popular Python framework.
- Prior experience in supporting MAS regulatory reporting systems would be advantageous
- Technical knowledge and/or hands-on experience in Microsoft BI solutions would be advantageous.
- Organized, meticulous, independent worker but also able to work in a team.
