Senior Business Analyst – Banking and Payments

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in banking payment systems, fraud platforms, SWIFT messaging, and ISO 20022 transformation initiatives.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, compliance, and payment operations to deliver enterprise-scale banking and payment transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

. Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements for payment and fraud management platforms.

. Perform gap analysis, process mapping, and workflow optimisation for banking payment systems.

. Support ISO 20022 migration initiatives including MT-to-MX message transformation and payment integration workflows.

. Define API integration requirements, process flows, and data mapping specifications.

. Collaborate with technology, operations, compliance, and QA teams across Agile delivery environments.

. Prepare BRD, FRD, user stories, traceability matrix, and functional specifications.

. Support SIT/UAT activities including test scenario preparation, defect management, and business sign-off.

. Work on SWIFT payments, corporate banking channels, sanctions screening, and payment processing systems.

Mandatory Skills

. Banking and payment systems experience

. ISO 20022 migration knowledge

. SWIFT MT/MX message standards

. Payment processing workflows

. Fraud and scam detection platforms

. API integration and data mapping

. Agile / Scrum delivery methodology

. BRD / FRD documentation

. UAT and stakeholder management

Preferred Skills

. Experience in corporate banking or transaction banking

. Knowledge of ACH, RTGS, BECS, ABA, pain.001

. Exposure to VolPay or payment engines

. Understanding of compliance and sanctions screening
