JOB OVERVIEW:
As part of our expanding Global Programmes team, we are seeking a seasoned broker to deliver bespoke insurance solutions to multinational clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep market knowledge, strong client engagement skills, and the ability to coordinate complex cross-border placements. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the design and execution of global insurance programmes for multinational clients, ensuring alignment with local regulatory requirements and client risk profiles.
- Coordinate with international offices and partner brokers to deliver seamless cross-border solutions.
- Manage tender processes, prepare proposals, and negotiate terms with insurers.
- Provide strategic advisory services to help clients enhance the structure and efficiency of their global insurance programmes, including premium allocation and compliance across jurisdictions.
- Provide expert advice on global risk management strategies, policy structures, and claims advocacy.
- Oversee multinational client portfolios and act as the key relationship lead, delivering tailored solutions and ensuring seamless coordination across markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.
- Drive innovation in broking practices by identifying and implementing process improvements and digital solutions and collaborating with internal teams to enhance operational efficiency and client servicing models.
- Identify opportunities to share knowledge, build business networks and develop expertise within the region.
- Stay ahead of market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging risks across regions.
- Represent Howden at industry events and contribute to thought leadership initiatives.
- Providing an excellent service and client centric approach is fundamental.
- Has a high degree of personal accountability and has personal performance goals which are aligned with the regional and wider business goals.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE:
- Bachelors degree holder, with insurance qualifications to practice as an insurance broker in Singapore (i.e. CMFAS certifications) is a must.
- Minimum 1015 years of experience in insurance broking, with a focus on multinational or global programmes.
- Proven track record in managing complex client portfolios and delivering tailored solutions.
- Strong understanding of international insurance markets and regulatory environments.
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Highly driven and energetic with strong interpersonal communication skills, a good team player, and a proactive, self-motivated attitude.
- Fluency in English.
