Job Description

Position Overview

The Senior Engineer (Project Related) is a critical role established to permanently resolve system reliability and quality issues across our building automation projects. Moving away from standard project execution, this governance role focuses on setting the company-wide gold standard for field installations, hardware selection, and project management methodologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for authoring robust installation guidelines, standardizing field product selections, and developing comprehensive testing and commissioning methods. Your ultimate mandate is to provide top-tier technical support and establish strict technical audit gates that guarantee new engineers follow standard procedures and deliver a low-defect system to the customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive company guidelines for physical site installations including field controller panel layouts, cable containment rules, earthing requirements, and sensor placement criteria.
  • Evaluate, select, and maintain an approved component and vendor list for field devices based on precision, reliability, and local building performance standards to achieve product standardization.
  • Establish standardized project management methodologies and execution guidelines to ensure new engineers deploy systems systematically and never execute projects arbitrarily.
  • Create mandatory Quality Assurance and Quality Control checklists for critical project milestones including Pre-Installation, Post-Installation, Pre-Commissioning, and Testing and Commissioning methods.
  • Formulate clear testing and commissioning guidelines to ensure all system operations, data points, and control sequences are thoroughly verified before client handover.
  • Provide expert-level technical support to project management and installation teams during the coordination, implementation, and handover phases to resolve complex on-site integration issues.
  • Conduct random and scheduled on-site audits to inspect physical workmanship, wiring practices, and product conformity against established guidelines while issuing corrective action notices for any non-compliance.
  • Support forensic investigations into recurring field failures or site technical incidents by performing root-cause analysis to update master guidelines and deliver a reliable, low-defect system.

Requirements

  • Possess an Engineering related Degree
  • Preferably with at least 6 to 8 years and above of hands-on experience in automation system project implementation, installation management, and commissioning workflows.
  • The position prefer deep practical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, chiller plant instrumentation, and site coordination workflows.
  • Strong baseline familiarity with building codes, installation best practices, and standard testing and commissioning procedures is essential.
  • Requires exceptional technical writing capabilities alongside a highly objective auditing mindset and the assertiveness to hold engineering and project teams accountable to high-quality benchmarks.

Appreciate your understanding that only shortlisted candidate will be notified.
