Mott MacDonald Singapore is currently recruiting for a Senior BIM Coordinator (Building Services - MEP). The role will sit within our Buildings market. We are looking for a Building Information Modelling (BIM) specialist experienced in the development and coordination of 3D models using building software applications. This person will be working on a major aviation infrastructure project and will be responsible for creating and coordinating BIM models, submitting drawings, working on implementation plans, project setup, model production, coordination, as well as help establish digital delivery specific workflows for collaborations and data exchange.
Mott MacDonald Singapore is a dynamic and progressive office involved in both local, and international projects. You will work in a professional international consultancy, working closely with our multidisciplinary engineers and consultant teams. The candidate shall be engaged in delivery design, submission, construction support, as-build and completion of the project.
The roles and responsibilities include:
- Support BIM implementation for MEP authoring and coordination in all phases of the project.
- Assist in model navigation at design review meetings.
- Perform simulations and create clash reports and resolution at weekly design review sessions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts in 3D visual models.
- Interpret design intent sketches provided by the project & design engineers.
- Lead model federation and design resolution activities, including assisting in model navigation and leading the team during model-based design review meetings.
- Comply with company and project-specific modelling and drawing standard.
- Manage the formal drawing submission process.
- Assist with BIM model coordination with other disciplines.
- Develop tools and processes to improve efficiency of project delivery.
- Develop BIM execution plans for the projects we are working on.
- Coordination and management of off-shore BIM resources.
About You:
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in an engineering related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in BIM implementation.
- Strong background in Autodesk Revit BIM suite, Bentley, Navisworks etc.
- Strong understanding in developing, supporting, and managing models per project standards.
- Familiarity with computational design and programming software (e.g. Rhino, Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python) will be advantageous.
- Familiar with BCA BIM submission requirement and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Awareness of emerging technologies and trends in the industry.
- Good team player with a self-motivated and proactive character.
