Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of BI solutions, making independent technical decisions and clearly communicating trade-offs to stakeholders
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets aligned with business needs
- Build and optimize SQL queries, data models, and ETL pipelines (SSIS/SSRS) to support reporting
- Define and enforce best practices in data modelling, DAX, and performance optimization
- Lead end-to-end BI delivery from requirements gathering to deployment and user adoption
- Ensure data quality, security, compliance, and proper documentation across all deliverables
- Drive innovation through cloud initiatives and AI/ML-enabled solutions to enhance analytics and insights
- Collaborate with stakeholders, ensure data quality, security, compliance, and maintain proper documentation
The Successful Applicant
A successful candidate should have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft BI tools, including Power BI (Desktop, Service, Report Server)
- Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and Power BI features such as RLS, incremental refresh, and deployment pipelines
- Proficiency in SQL, including complex query optimization, and experience with SSRS and SSIS
- Experience with .NET (preferably C#) for BI integrations and data workflow development
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), with tools like JIRA and Control-M
- Familiarity with AWS data services and solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, tools, and practical application opportunities
- Required Certificates like Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) & AI / ML Fundamentals (any recognized certification)
