Key Responsibilities
- Mixology & Beverage Service: Prepare and serve both classic and signature cocktails, wines, and beers to exact specifications. Recommend drinks based on guest preferences and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead bar shifts, train junior bartenders and barbacks on service standards, and guide them through complex orders. Assist management with scheduling and evaluations.
- Operations & Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory checks, handle stock ordering, and track usage to minimize wastage. Supervise bar setup, opening, and closing duties.
- Guest Relations: Anticipate customer needs, handle complex requests or complaints tactfully, and drive upselling.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce responsible service of alcohol (RSA), food safety standards, and local health regulations. Handle POS transactions and cash drops accurately.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 2-4 years of bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale bar or club.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of mixology, spirits, wines, and garnishing techniques.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, multitasking, communication, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Certifications: Valid food handling certifications and relevant bartending or mixology qualifications.
