Your Role As a Zenika Consultant
As a consultant, you'll be embedded within client teams to solve real-world engineering challenges. You'll bring both technical expertise and a problem-solving mindset to help design and build modern back-end platforms.
- Design and develop Spring Bootbased applications and RESTful APIs used in production environments
- Build scalable, secure microservices with a strong focus on maintainability and performance
- Translate functional requirements into clean, well-structured code and technical solutions
- Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and understand when different data models make sense
- Contribute to system design discussions, applying sound architectural and design patterns
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end engineers, product managers, and DevOps
- Ensure quality through testing, code reviews, and best engineering practices
- Participate in CI/CD workflows and containerized deployments using tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Help clients modernize their platforms and adopt cloud-native development approaches
What You Bring
- 5+ years experience in Java development, with hands-on expertise in Spring Boot
- Solid understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
- Experience working with SQL databases and data modelling
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Exposure to containerization, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices
- A pragmatic mindset you balance technical excellence with delivering real business value
- Confidence working directly with stakeholders in a consulting or project-based environment
