Key Responsibilities
Avaloq Parameterization & Customization
- Configure Avaloq Core Banking modules (workflows, order validations, reports, classifications, code tables).
- Develop Avaloq scripts and packages to support new business requirements.
- Customize Avaloq forms, layouts, and reporting modules
Integration & Interfaces
- Implement Avaloq Message Interface (AMI) and APIs for integration with front-office and third-party systems.
- Work on XML messages, CRM modules, contact management, and notifications.
- Ensure smooth data migration and synchronization across platforms.
System Development & Maintenance
- Design, build, test, and deploy Avaloq solutions ensuring scalability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in Avaloq systems.
- Maintain delivery quality through DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Control-M, etc.).
Project & Team Leadership
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Support project managers in planning, estimation, and release management.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of Avaloq parameterization, scripting language (APL), and workflow engine.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL (Oracle databases) and Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- Experience with unit testing (ATS tests), performance tuning, and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Nexus, XL Deploy).
Domain Knowledge
- Solid understanding of private banking and wealth management processes (equities, bonds, FX, loans, payments, security lending/borrowing).
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting (MIFID, FATCA, CRS, EMIR).
Professional Background
- Typically, Over 10 years of IT experience, with at least 8 years in Avaloq development experience.
- Prior involvement in multiple Avaloq implementation projects across different business streams.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to articulate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
