Senior Automation Engineer

Due to our constant growth, we are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to support our projects in Singapore.

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in both Siemens and Rockwell Automation platforms (PLC, HMI, SCADA) combined with a solid foundation in Computer System Validation (CSV) and virtualized environments within regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Systems Management: Design, program, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial automation systems, including Siemens (S7/TIA Portal) and Rockwell Automation (ControlLogix/Studio 5000) PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA applications.
• CSV & Compliance Support: Assist Computer System Validation (CSV) lifecycle activities, ensuring all automated systems strictly align with GAMP5, cGMP, Data Integrity, and regulatory standards (such as 21 CFR Part 11).
• Virtualization & Infrastructure: Oversee and support virtual machine (VM) environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) supporting SCADA servers, automation software, and industrial IT infrastructure.
• System Modifications & Tech Transfers: Perform software modifications, logic updates, and technical transfers following strict Change Control procedures and validation protocols.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Provide advanced technical support for complex automation issues to minimize operational downtime and optimize facility performance.
• Documentation: Draft, review, and execute high-quality technical and validation documentation, including URS, FS, DS, Traceability Matrices, and Qualification protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ).

About you:

• Proven track record as an Automation Engineer within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or highly regulated manufacturing sectors.
• Direct, hands-on programming and troubleshooting experience with Rockwell Automation and Siemens PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
• Hands-on experience with Virtual Machine (VM) applications and industrial networking protocols (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS).
• Strong understanding of Computer System Validation (CSV), GAMP5 guidelines, Data Integrity, and cGMP regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related scientific/technical discipline.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, independence in executing technical tasks, and strong cross-functional communication abilities.
