Senior Automation Engineer - 12 Months Contract
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, development, and commissioning support of Pharmaceuticals DCS / PLC systems on-site. Siemens will be the key technology. Any exposure to Rockwell and Emerson DeltaV will be advantageous.
- Will participate in the development and implementation of Automation solutions in line with S88 standards for the plant.
- Thorough understanding of Physical and Procedural Layer design, development, and qualification.
- Work with the automation team to design system architecture, Design Specifications, Control Strategies, and library development.
- Strong understanding of CSV documentation for Pharma projects
- Supporting manufacturing operations for the day-to-day support of the DeltaV system.
- Support on NC and CAPA, identification of root causes, continuous system improvement, and support for Operations as required.
- Field commissioning of automation equipment.
- System administration and maintenance support.
- Computer system Validation and documentation support for automation systems.
- Interacting with the Operations Team, Process Team, Equipment Vendors, and Technology providers.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in designing and commissioning automation projects for GMP manufacturing sites.
- Through understanding of Batch S88 standards (CM, EM, Phases, Recipes, Units, etc)
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical process
- Knowledge of automation hardware and networking technologies
- Siemens PCS7 or S7 with Batch exposure is required.
- Emerson DeltaV DCS Batch experience or Rockwell Pharma experience is an advantage
- Familiarity with SDLC and quality management processes in the pharma
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
