We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Projects & Innovation Management - Built Environment Technology to join our growing team. This role plays a vital part in driving business development, conducting market research and competitor analysis, performing due diligence on innovative technologies and intellectual property, and supporting project management to bring Kajima's innovations to market.
This position offers a unique greenfield opportunity to build and shape the organization from inception, working closely with the Managing Director. It is ideal for someone with strong commercial instincts, project management skills, and the ability to engage clients and generate leads effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technology Deployment & Project Coordination
- Support planning, execution, and delivery of technology deployment and pilot projects.
- Coordinate site activities, vendors, contractors, and partner
- Oversee and coordinate technical installation, testing, commissioning, data collection, and troubleshooting.
- Prepare documentation, deployment plans, method statements, and progress reports.
2. Technical Evaluation & Research
- Study and understand technologies.
- Conduct technical assessments and proof-of-concept studies to evaluate performance and suitability for local use.
- Perform competitor analysis and benchmarking of similar technologies in Singapore and internationally.
- Translate technical capabilities into real-world applications and potential market use cases.
3. Tender, Specification & Documentation
- Support Assist in drafting specifications, scopes of work, and technical requirements for new technology pilots.
- Prepare project briefs, cost breakdowns, technical notes, and evaluation frameworks.
- Support collaboration with internal technical teams and external vendors to refine deployment documentation.
4. Stakeholder, Vendor & Partner Management
- Liaise with government agencies, research partners, solution vendors, and contractors.
- Coordinate technical discussions and clarifications with R&D teams.
- Support procurement processes including quotations, BOQs, vendor evaluations, and supplier coordination.
- Assist in planning site visits, demonstrations, and technical presentations.
5. Commercialisation & Strategy Support
- Contribute to the development of commercialization strategies such as licensing, consultancy, or deployment-based models.
- Provide technical insights to guide market adoption and positioning of new technologies.
- Assist in preparing materials for engagements with agencies, end-users, and potential customers.
- Participate in identifying new technologies for the Singapore and regional markets.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Engineering background (civil or related disciplines preferred), or relevant experience in the built environment sector.
- Experience in engineering consultancy, site coordination, or project delivery.
- Exposure to digital construction, contech, infrastructure, or materials-related projects is a plus.
- Research experience in civil, built environment, or engineering domains would be an advantage.
- Strong technical aptitude with a willingness to learn and adopt new tools, systems, and methodologies.
- Comfortable with hands-on site work, technical discussions, and vendor coordination.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Genuine interest in innovation, emerging technologies, and the future of construction and infrastructure.
Suggested Experience 1 to 5 years in the built environment or relevant technical fields.
