[What the role is]
The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), a government agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, is responsible for strategies that enhance Singapore's position as a global centre for business, innovation, and talent. We undertake investment promotion and industry development, and work with international businesses, both foreign and local, by providing information, connection to partners and access to government incentives for their investments. Key responsibilities will include:
Meeting with senior executives, researchers and lead engineers to ascertain the status of financial incentives awarded to companies.
Assessing the achievement of incentives conditions with on-site visit and documents review.
Reviewing claims submitted by companies, for compliance with guidelines and award letters.
Ensuring service delivery in accordance with pre-defined service level agreements, from planning, fieldwork and reporting.
Identifying gaps and shaping policy framework from issues identified.
Preparing periodic report to senior management.
Promoting organisational awareness on incentive governance and risk management.
[What we are looking for]
To meet the challenges of this role, you must have/be:
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent.
Candidates with 2 years of relevant experience in audit, and knowhow in the areas of governance and enterprise risk management are preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills.
Good problem solving and critical thinking skills, results oriented and able to work independently and effectively under pressure or on multiple priorities and projects
Strong attention to details and excellent analytical skills
Knowledge and practices in Data Analytics and Tableau will be an advantage.
