Senior Associate, Electrical Design - Singapore
About the Role
As a Senior Associate, you will lead multidisciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle, providing advanced technical leadership and acting as a trusted professional adviser. You will play a key role in driving project success, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to business growth. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping innovative and sustainable electrical engineering solutions that align with regulatory requirements and client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee electrical design for complex infrastructure and building projects, ensuring high-quality delivery from concept to completion.
- Provide technical direction and resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Mentor and develop engineers and designers, building technical capability within the team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and innovative solutions.
- Manage client engagements, acting as a trusted technical adviser to ensure satisfaction.
- Assume statutory roles including Qualified Person (QP) and Project Manager (PM), ensuring compliance with local authority requirements.
- Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposal preparation.
- Maintain and enhance technical standards and quality across projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with Professional Engineer (PE) registration under PEB Singapore.
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering design, including leadership of complex projects.
- Proven track record in statutory roles such as QP/PIC and client-facing responsibilities.
- In-depth knowledge of Singapore Codes of Practice and local authority submission processes (LTA, PUB, BCA).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
