Senior Associate, Design Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage design drawings and technical documentation for commercial projects across assigned data centres.
• Support pre-sales activities by producing contract drawings and technical documentation for the Sales team.
• Assess power, cooling, and space availability during the initial quotation phase.
• Create technical designs for customer lifecycle activities, including new deployments, modifications, and terminations.
• Prepare Technical Handover documentation including CAD layouts, rack layouts, floor plans, and Bills of Materials.
• Ensure designs comply with corporate whitespace design and engineering standards for power, cooling, and space.
• Generate work orders for Implementation Managers, vendors, and remote hands based on solution designs.
• Maintain and update facility floor plans using AutoCAD and DCIM systems.
• Manage and update inventory records for space, power, connectivity,and cabling in systems such as FNT and OpsView.
• Support audits by ensuring design documentation and inventory data integrity.
• Coordinate with Capacity Planning teams to support new customer deployments and infrastructure expansion.
• Support Solution Engineers with technical inquiries and pre-sales design activities.
• Engage in cross-functional initiatives, training programs, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred).
• More than 5 years of experience in mission-critical environments, preferably within data centres.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to travel and work onsite when required.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with a customer-focused mindset.
