We are partnering with a leading global investment platform to appoint a Corporate/M&A Lawyer to support investments and strategic transactions across Asia Pacific, with a strong focus on Japan.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and advise on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures, investments, disposals, and financing matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents and commercial agreements.
- Provide commercially focused legal advice on transaction structuring, risk management, and regulatory matters.
- Work closely with investment, finance, tax, compliance, and external counsel teams across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support complex corporate and strategic initiatives throughout the investment lifecycle.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with approximately 5+ years PQE.
- Strong Corporate/M&A experience gained in a top-tier international law firm and/or multinational organisation.
- Experience advising on cross-border transactions, investments, private equity, finance, or capital markets matters is highly desirable.
- Fluent Japanese and English language skills are essential to support regional stakeholders and transactions.
- Strong commercial judgement, drafting capabilities, and stakeholder management skills.
