Purpose of the role:
Reporting to Managing Partner of Renewable Power, the role offers the opportunity to assist with proprietary sourcing, investing and asset management activities. The Sr. Associate will be responsible for performing various research, financial analysis, modelling and presentation functions in order to support the development of investment strategies and identification of attractive transaction opportunities. The role will also be responsible for executing due diligence across various sectors in which the Renewable Power team invests, as well as active involvement in the execution of business plans in portfolio companies.

Responsibilities:
Conduct valuations of assets and companies in the renewable power and energy transition infrastructure space using various methodologies such as comparable company analysis, precedent transactions and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF)
Assist in developing ideas for potential transaction and deal structures
Perform industry research, including analyzing financial data, preparing materials and managing databases to assist deal teams with origination
Build complex financial models used in the evaluation of potential transactions and to support transaction execution
Work with cross functional teams to contribute to the due diligence process and asset management of existing investments
Participate in regular planning meetings and prepare related supporting materials
Present select analysis to senior team members in a concise and comprehensive manner
Conduct special projects as required.
Qualifications/
Experience/Skills
Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving ability with meticulous attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced environment
Flexibility to address changing priorities and meet deadlines
At least five (5) years of private equity, advisory or project finance deal experience within an investment bank, private equity fund or accounting firm
Willingness to take on responsibility
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
