The Role
This is a Senior Associate / AVP position within the Sustainable Solutions team at a global asset manager, based in Singapore. The Sustainable Solutions team works on decarbonisation of the portfolio by developing commercial and innovation theses for emerging climate solutions. The team's work is anchored to a 2050 net zero ambition and covers sectors including green hydrogen, low-carbon fuels for aviation and maritime, advanced nuclear, heavy industry electrification, advanced geothermal, data infrastructure energy efficiency, and water efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support investment opportunities related to the Sustainable-Living trend that can retain optionality and strengthen connectivity with portfolio companies.
- Develop new pilots that support decarbonisation and climate ambitions.
- Support senior engagements with portfolio companies to improve their climate transition readiness and align with science-based and sectoral decarbonisation pathways.
- Track technology, policy, and commercial developments globally and distil findings into actionable intelligence for the wider internal ecosystem.
- Engage portfolio companies, technology developers, policymakers, and global counterparts to validate assumptions, surface opportunities, and advance solutions.
- Drive analysis and solution development across assigned clean energy sectors, covering technology evaluation, technoeconomic modelling, commercial thesis construction, and ecosystem enablement.
- Lead and manage initiatives from problem definition through to execution, with accountability across complex, multi-stakeholder workstreams.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in science, engineering, or business. Cross-disciplinary backgrounds are welcome.
- Minimum six years of relevant experience in clean energy, investment, or corporate transition strategy.
- Strong systems thinking capability, with the ability to integrate technical, economic, policy, and strategic considerations into a coherent analytical view.
- Familiarity with corporate transition strategy, technoeconomic analysis, and investment evaluation is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with rigour and precision.
- Working knowledge of the Singapore ecosystem combined with active awareness of global developments across relevant sectors.
- Ability to operate with autonomy and calibrate pace and approach to the demands of each workstream.
