Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Advise portfolio of clients in the financial services industry on ongoing regulatory obligations under the applicable regulations
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings, returns, and notifications
  • Develop and review regulatory compliance frameworks, registers, policies and procedures 
  • Conduct reviews of business processes and internal controls to identify gaps, assess risks, and recommend remediation measures
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors on compliance-related matters
  • Translate regulatory rules and guidance into pragmatic, fit-for-purpose solutions for clients
  • Monitor regulatory developments and provide actionable advisory on their impact to clients business operations and compliance frameworks
  • Support and execute ad hoc projects, including regulatory mock inspections and AML/CFT due diligence reviews
  • Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training programmes for clients
  • Undertake other ad-hoc regulatory and compliance projects as required

 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, Accountancy, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in regulatory compliance roles within financial institutions or with MAS
  • Prior experience in client-facing roles will be an added advantage
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders
  • Sound knowledge of MAS regulatory requirements applicable to capital markets intermediaries
  • Proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in Mandarin would be advantageous to support communications with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Candidates with immediate availability or a short notice period will be preferred
