An international law firm with a top-tier reputation in Singapore and across Asia is seeking a Senior Associate to join their highly regarded Construction Disputes team. This role is for a talented and ambitious lawyer looking to take the next step in their career on a global platform.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Associate, you'll be a key member of our team, handling a range of complex, high-value construction disputes. You'll have the opportunity to work on significant projects in Singapore and internationally, representing clients in arbitrations, litigation, and other dispute resolution forums. We're looking for a lawyer who is not only technically excellent but also has the business acumen to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and run complex construction-related disputes, including arbitration and High Court litigation.
- Draft pleadings, affidavits, and other legal submissions with precision and clarity.
- Provide strategic legal advice to a diverse range of clients, including developers, contractors, and government agencies.
- Take an active role in business development and client-facing activities.
- Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and trainees within the practice.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), specializing in construction law and dispute resolution.
- Must be qualified to practice in Singapore.
- Demonstrated track record of handling a variety of contentious construction matters.
- Excellent analytical, research, and drafting skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
