Purpose and Scope
Manages the overall preparation of mechanical engineering designs, drawings, specifications, schedules, quantity and cost estimates for assigned projects.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Main Mechanical Lead for the checking and design of mechanical works from concept to detailed design for projects
- Conversant in local code and authority requirements, ensuring project compliance to the requirements.
- Able to perform analysis and guide engineers to analyze and provide technical advice and solutions when working with stakeholders
- Carry out project management, planning, financial management of project, contract administration, ensure key deadlines are met and team work together effectively
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders for civil & structure, architectural, mechanical and electrical works
- Preparation of tender documents and specifications
- Design management, coordination with contractors, subcontractors and external consultants
- Proactive communication, mentoring and guiding the reporting Engineers and Designers for learning and development
- Ensure the smooth completion of the project within schedule and budget
- Possibly assigned as Assistant Project Manager
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- More than 6 years in the industry
- Experience in both construction management and design
- Conversant in Engineering analysis design software, BIM software, CFD simulations tools and other mechanical/fire engineering software.
- On track to qualify as a Registered Professional Engineer with PEB Singapore/ Specialized Professional Engineer
