Job Description

This Senior Assistant Manager, Assessment Administration and Accreditation is part of the academic arm within the Undergraduate Programmes Office, performing the critical function of supporting programme activities and academic services to enhance the undergraduate experience of all Nanyang Business School students.


Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement policies and guidelines on assessment and examination matters.

  • Establish and maintain communication and governance frameworks to uphold the integrity and security of continual assessments and examinations.

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the team in:
    - End-to-end planning and management of continual assessments and examinations
    - Examination timetabling and scheduling
    - Post-assessment processes, including marks verification
    - Review and processing of course results application
    -
    Arrangements for continual assessment and examination accommodation for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
    -
    Handling student appeals on final examination results

  • Serve as Secretariat to the Board of Examiners.

  • Oversee the validation of students fulfilment of programme requirements, including second major and minor tracks

  • Administer Dean's List processes, including eligibility verification and coordination of endorsement

  • Manage the selection of academic award recipients (e.g. Final Year Gold Medals and Book Prizes), ensuring fairness and compliance with governance standards

  • Lead accreditation and re-accreditation submissions with professional bodies on an end-to-end basis

  • Administer the valedictorian nomination and selection process, ensuring transparency and adherence to established criteria

  • Lead and guide staff to achieve departmental and university objectives effectively.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree from a recognised university with minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the education sector

  • Prior experience in a relevant administrative role in an institution of higher learning will be advantageous

  • Strong people management and leadership skills Supervisory experience is required

  • Influencer with good interpersonal and communications skills to work well with people collaboratively

  • Ability to handle sensitive information and incidents with discretion

  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and flexible in adjusting and responding to changing priorities

  • Ability to work independently and as a team, personal initiative, and team spirit in the effective implementation of projects

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, multi-task and deliver with quality and timeliness

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, planning and organizational abilities

  • Organised and meticulous with an eye for detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Possession of data analytics skills will be an added advantage
