Job Summary 

We're looking for a Senior Application / Systems Engineer – Equities Trading Systems to support our team in Singapore. Key Responsibilities 

  • Analyse, design, develop, implement, and support Equities Trading systems within a Banking and Finance environment.
  • Participate in end‑to‑end system solution delivery, including:
  • Business and technical requirement analysis
  • Functional and technical design
  • System integration and interfacing
  • Development and configuration
  • Unit testing, SIT, UAT, and production deployment
  • Post‑implementation and production support
  • Design, implement, and support FIX protocol based interfaces for order routing, execution, and trade processing.
  • Implement and support message‑driven architectures using Message Queue (MQ) platforms for internal and external system integration.
  • Provide hands‑on support for systems running on Oracle databases and Linux/Unix platforms.
  • Support equities trading functions including order management, executions, trade capture, confirmations, and downstream settlement feeds.
  • Work closely with business users, application vendors, project managers, and infrastructure teams to deliver stable and scalable solutions.
  • Perform production support, troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and performance tuning for trading systems.
  • Ensure all solutions comply with security, risk, regulatory, and architectural standards.

Requirement

Education

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.


Experience

· Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Banking & Financial Services IT.

· Proven experience in implementing and supporting Equities Trading systems in a frontoffice or market technology environment.

· Strong experience with FIX Protocol (e.g. FIX 4.x / FIX 5.x) for trading and market connectivity.

· Strong technical and platform expertise in Equity/FX trading systems, market data platforms, SaaS/cloud implementations, and mobile application development.

· Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, Windows, Linux, shell scripting, messaging queues, JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, Java, J2EE, JSP/Servlets, FIX messaging, CORBA, React Native, iOS/Android deployment, DevOps tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket), and scheduling tools (Control-M).

· Skilled in setting up applications within newly provisioned environments, including network, storage, agents, databases, Aldon, Control-M, Splunk, Geneos, and other monitoring tools. 

· Handson experience with Message Queue (MQ) technologies for system integration.

· Solid working experience with Oracle databases (SQL, performance tuning, data analysis).

· Strong exposure to Linux / Unix environments, including shell scripting.


Essential Skills & Competencies

· Strong understanding of the equities trading lifecycle and capital markets operations.

· Experience supporting missioncritical, lowlatency trading applications.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highpressure trading environment.

· Strong analytical, problemsolving, and troubleshooting skills.

· Good communication skills for interaction with both technical and business stakeholders.


Advantage / Preferred

· Knowledge or handson experience with DZH Equities Trading systems or any other brokerage trading applications in the market will be a strong advantage.

· Experience working with vendor trading platforms and market data feeds.
