You will assist the Head, Fixed Income Research in identifying, analysing, measuring, reporting, monitoring and controlling all possible risk factors associated with fixed income investment activities through thorough risk analysis to ensure sound credit risk exposure for funds managed by IMD.
You are accountable to produce general and specific credit views and comprehensive research analysis that are of high quality on a timely and regular basis and will act as an adviser to Head, Fixed Income Research to formulate investment strategy, product strategy and overall business strategy of the Etiqa Group in respect of fixed income investment activities.
You will undertake comprehensive fixed income/bond research and risk mitigation as core accountability and the primary focus will be on local and foreign financial institutions (FI) and non-banking financial institutions (NBFI) for credits and foreign universe for credits.
You will ensure a complete and updated Foreign and Local Bond Selection Lists (BSL) for the Investment Committee's guide and reference.
You will oversee and supervise specific investment ideas and recommendations from the junior fixed income analysts.
Job Requirements
You will need to possess a bachelor's degree in economics or finance or in mathematics or with any related disciplines.
You must have at least 8 - 9 years of working experience in credit analytics support for Group Insurance business either in the life insurance or family takaful work environment.
You must have strong communication, interpersonal & problem-solving skills while demonstrating a good balance of working a team and independently to enable further success in this role
