About the Role
We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to spearhead the development and deployment of cutting-edge Generative AI (GenAI) and machine learning models. This role is instrumental in driving AI innovation, establishing best practices, and contributing to the development of a Generative AI Center of Excellence (CoE).
The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify AI opportunities, design scalable AI solutions, and lead efforts to democratize GenAI capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. AI Innovation & Research
- Lead the exploration of emerging GenAI technologies and contribute to proof-of-concept (PoC) projects.
- Stay updated with advancements in LLMs, multimodal AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and search algorithms.
2. Generative AI Strategy & Democratization
- Develop and promote best practices, governance, and standards for GenAI implementation.
- Foster a culture of AI innovation and enable business units to leverage GenAI-powered solutions effectively.
3. AI Development & Model Optimization
- Design and deploy GenAI models, including fine-tuned LLMs, multimodal models, and search-based AI systems.
- Optimize model performance, scalability, and efficiency, using techniques such as Mixture of Experts (MoE), prompt engineering, and model merging.
- Monitor LLM model drift and data drift to ensure optimal retraining.
4. AI Engineering & Deployment
- Develop and integrate AI solutions into enterprise applications, collaborating with software engineers to ensure seamless deployment.
- Implement LLM-based RAG workflows and agentic AI solutions for real-world business use cases.
- Manage AI/ML operations, ensuring models are efficiently monitored and maintained in production environments.
5. AI Platform & Infrastructure
- Work with cloud-based AI services (preferably Azure) and build scalable AI pipelines.
- Develop and manage embedding models, vector databases, and multimodal AI workflows.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration & CoE Development
- Support the establishment of a Generative AI Center of Excellence (CoE), providing guidance, mentorship, and AI expertise.
- Translate business requirements into technical AI solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Key Requirements
Technical Expertise:
- 8+ years in data engineering, AI, and analytics, with at least 5 years in Generative AI, LLMs, and deep learning.
- Proficiency in Python, Rust, and SQL for AI/ML development.
- Strong experience with Generative AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, llamacpp, OpenAI).
- Expertise in ML frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Deep understanding of LLMs, multimodal AI, embedding models, and AI-powered search.
- Hands-on experience with fine-tuning open-source LLMs (e.g., Llama 2, Gemma, Mixtral, Phi-2, Orca2).
- Knowledge of closed-source LLMs (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Gemini, Mistral) and cost-optimization strategies.
- Familiarity with LLMOps, observability tools, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile development methodologies.
