Senior AI Engineer-Marine

Purpose of Role:

. To build up AI capabilities within ST Engineering Marine to lead AI related projects, collaborate with parties within ST Engineering and collaborate with start-up, research institutions, customers or third parties to develop AI-related initiatives

. To collaborate with internal stakeholders to transform the organization using Digitalization, Continuous Improvement and Technology introduction and Innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

. Project Management (critical responsibility):Work and engage relevant stakeholders in managing and seeing through projects from start till end

. AI Model Development and AI Applications Development: Design, develop, and deploy AI models and applications to solve complex business problems.

. Data Management and System Tech Stack Development: Analyze the flow of large datasets specific to business use cases to architect and develop the tech stack required to create AI, IT, Digitalized business solutions.

. System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain AI systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.

. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders, to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.

. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI technologies, and adopt new technology, new approaches and best practices to enhance our AI capabilities.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

• Project Management proficiency is critical skillset in this role
• Programming Languages (minimum Python proficiency)
• Machine Learning, Large Language Model and Visual Language Model, Computer Vison and Video Analytics
• Proficient in Visualization Tool (E.g. Microsoft Power BI), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software (E.g. Microsoft Power Automate & Power Apps)
• Data Management, and Tech Stack system development & integration - ability to understand data types, software systems definitions and use-cases.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Team player with the ability to work independently or as a team.

• Good Analytical & Problem-Solving skills

Relevant Experience:

• Project Management will be critical - past experience in handling multiple AI, Software or IT-related projects
• Hardware and Software System Integration and Tech Stack Development
• System Deployment, Monitoring and Maintenance
• Prior experience in IT/AI/ML projects, preferably in a corporate setting
• Preferably with 3 years relevant working experience, but not a must

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or AI, or a related field.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.. Proficiency in Visualization Software (E.g. Microsoft Power BI) and RPA software (E.g. Microsoft Power Automate will be advantageous) will be advantageous
• Strong sense of responsibility, task ownership and tracking

• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, as well as high EQ
• Strong curiosity about new technologies, management paradigms that are relevant to the company and Marine industry
• Able to work under pressure
• Able to work independently, and with incomplete information

• Location: 16 Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided)
• 5 days work week
• Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
