Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and implementation for complex engineering problems
- Own end-to-end delivery of key features or systems within Hub, Platform, or Spokes
- Mentor and coach AI Engineers conduct code reviews and pairing sessions
- Drive engineering standards adoption: CI/CD, testing, reliability, SDK conventions
- Coordinate with Product and Research to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Identify and resolve technical debt propose architectural improvements
- May lead smaller teams or initiatives when needed
Accountable for: Technical leadership and delivery within a squad or cross-functional initiative
Requirements
- 7+ years of industry experience in the field of data science, machine learning and AI
- BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Experience in technical documentation, including writing and maintaining documentation for complex software systems or AI projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with diverse communities.
- Solid community engagement portfolios, such as impactful open-source initiative leadership and regular involvement in tech community-driven events
- 5+ years involvement in end-to-end prototyping, deployment and operationalisation of machine learning products in private/public sectors
- Technical leadership experience is highly favoured
- Deep expertise in ML systems, infrastructure, or software engineering
- Track record of shipping production systems at scale
- Strong communication skills ability to work across disciplines
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
