Senior Actuarial Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Life and Health Central Life Reserving team in Singapore. The team oversees the valuation, reserving and financial reporting for Life and Health business of Munich Re Singapore branch, covering both global and local valuation bases including Solvency II, HGB, MAS and IFRS (9 and 17).

Reporting to the Head of MRS Valuation, you will combine accounting, actuarial science, modelling, and regulatory expertise to ensure sufficiency of reserves and insightful financial reporting to the senior management at Munich Re.

Your Role

You will be involved across the full valuation and reporting cycle, including:

• Proposing model enhancements and setting valuation assumptions for the Singapore business
• Modelling new treaties in AXIS
• Preparing quarterly and annual Solvency II reporting for Singapore
• Delivering quarterly and annual IFRS reporting (Group and local)
• Producing management reports for the local leadership team
• Supporting annual financial planning for the Singapore business
• Partnering closely with the local business teams to support commercial and reporting needs
• Supporting local and Group audit processes
• Collaborating with regional and global stakeholders (e.g. Oversight and Consolidation teams) during reporting cycles

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
• At least 2 years of valuation experience preferred
• Strong analytical, problem solving, research and project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), VBA, SQL and database management systems
• Knowledge of IFRS17 standards and/or AXIS would be an advantage
