Position Title: Senior Accounts Executive

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management
1. Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries for depreciation, prepayments, accruals, and other receivables.
2. Verification and processing of vendor payments and staff reimbursement claims, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and posting to the correct ledger accounts, compliance with finance policies and approved budgets.
3. Record all incoming receipts, including donations, grant and other income, into the accounting system on a timely basis.
4. Maintain and control the Fixed Assets Register, including:
a. Verification, tagging, and recording of newly acquired or donated assets
b. Ensuring proper authorisation and documentation for asset disposals
c. Accurate computation and posting of depreciation entries
d. Conducting and reviewing physical asset count and reconciling them to the register
5. Maintain the Cash/Bond Investment Register, including:
a. Monitoring of surplus funds and liaising with banks on investment options
b. Ensuring proper authorization and documentation
c. Posting to the general ledger
6. Perform monthly reconciliations between the CRM and the accounting system to ensure completeness and accuracy of donation records.
7. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
8. Support external and internal audits by providing timely, accurate financial schedules, confirmations, and explanations as required.
9. Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, controls, and relevant regulatory and funding requirements.
10. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls within the finance function.
Qualification:
1. Degree in Bachelor of Accountancy (preferred)
2. Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
