Role summary
This is a 8 months contract and the role reports to the Head of Finance. The individual will be part of the accounting team supporting the financial and reporting activities of the Company.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Work with Project team in finance improvement initiatives focuses on optimizing the efficiency, accuracy, and value of the finance function through process enhancements and technology implementation.
- Support finance team in improvement initiatives involving accounting and payment system and data warehousing.
- Involvement in analysis of accounting processes and workflows.
- Support in Ledger Accounting including maintenance of accounting data within the general ledger system.
- Support in business analysis of key drivers affecting the various sources of income and provision of information to Business Units.
- Support in handling audit queries in support of smooth and timely delivery of audited statements.
- Any other adhoc business initiatives and projects.
Education qualification
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in accountancy with a reputable institution
- Professionally qualified accountants with relevant experience will be considered
Experience and skills
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within asset management or investment firms
- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to work across departments and engage with stakeholders and external counterparties
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience using Oracle is advantageous
