Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital efficiently.
GST Filing:
- Prepare and file Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns in accordance with Singapore tax regulations.
- Ensure compliance with GST laws and regulations, including timely submissions and payments.
Full Set of Accounts:
- Maintain and manage the full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries as needed.
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
Invoicing:
- Generate and manage invoices for sales transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that invoices are compliant with relevant regulations and contractual terms.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
Purchase Orders:
- Process and manage purchase orders for procurement of goods and services.
- Verify purchase orders against budgetary constraints and authorization levels.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure proper documentation and approval.
Delivery Planning:
- Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to plan and schedule product deliveries to customers.
- Monitor delivery schedules to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries.
- Address any delivery issues or discrepancies promptly.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development and management of the annual budget.
- Prepare financial forecasts and variance analysis to support business planning.
Audit and Compliance:
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in financial and operational processes.
- Implement best practices in accounting and financial management.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor junior finance staff members.
- Provide guidance and support in their daily activities.
QuickBooks Online:
- Proficiently use QuickBooks Online software for accounting and financial management tasks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or ACCA qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Singaporean accounting standards and tax regulations, including GST.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
