Senior Accountant

JOB PURPOSE

Country's Financial Reporting and Compliance - Involves Financial Accounting, Treasury Function, Regulatory and Internal Compliance, Internal and External Reporting such as Audit and Tax.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Accounting

. Manage day to day financial transactions

. Reconciliation of Subledger to General Ledger

. Manage intercompany transactions, netting arrangement and balance reconciliation

. Ensure monthly reconciliation with banking and financial transactions

. Preparation of reconciliation and supporting schedules for Financial Statement

. Liaise and work with Finance Staff at Shared Service Centers

. FRS116 Lease Accounting

Financial Reporting

. Timely Reporting of financial results to Group via Hyperion

. Preparation and submission of Group Schedule

. Liaise with Auditor on Annual Financial Audit - Provide PBC and prearation of Financial Statement etc

Treasury and Banking

. Ensure monthly cashflow forecast is prepared and submitted on time.

. Manage Banker Guarantee (return, new and renewals)

. Review accounts receivables and accounts payable for overdue payment, non-payment and other irregularities with AR ad AP shared services team

. Support Head of Working Capital Management on needed fund flows

. Handle Bank IDEAL Maintenance Matters

Policy, Internal Controls & Compliance

. Compliance to Local Regulatory Requirement, Financial Reporting Standards and Tax Regulation

. Compliance to Company Policies

. Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulation

. Support Annual Internal Audit (ISO, BSE etc)

Taxation

. Preparation of tax reports and analysis, such as:

• Withholding Tax

• Corporate Income Tax

• Goods and Services Tax

. Support implementation of Reverse GST, MES and 3PL scheme, if any.

General

. Ad-hoc projects and analysis

. Compliance to company confidentiality, legal and ethical guidelines etc

JOB REQUIREMENTS

. Degree in Accountancy or Finance or Professional Certification or equivalent

. Preferably 5 - 10 years of relevant work experience

. Experience working in Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics or similar industry would be added advantage

. Good knowledge of Financial Accounting Standards, Financial Planning, Financial Reporting, audit frameworks and legal requirements, internal controls and compliance, risk management, fraud detection and prevention and local tax compliance

. Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with other Microsoft Office programs

. Working knowledge of Hyperion, Cargowise and Power BI is added advantage

. Good working attitude and willing to learn
