Position: Senior Accountant (Timor-Leste)
Location: Based in Timor-Leste
Job Responsibilities
- Independently manage the Timor-Leste entity's month-end closing, reconciliations, bank statements, and preparation of management reports.
- Work closely with corporate secretary service providers in Timor-Leste to ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
- Oversee local cash flow, review payments, monitor collections, and prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Establish and maintain standardized reporting, reconciliation, and communication processes with both the Timor-Leste and Singapore finance teams.
- Supervise the effectiveness of internal controls and ensure timely submission of financial data.
- Manage intercompany transaction reconciliations and clear outstanding balances.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA Singapore, or equivalent is preferred.
- At least 5 years of full-set accounting experience in Singapore, with proven ability to independently handle month-end closing, financial reporting, and tax filing coordination.
- Experience with cross-border entities, group consolidation, or financial review of overseas subsidiaries is an advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software expertise in Xero is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin, to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Timor-Leste local tax requirements is preferred.
- Willing to station at Timor-Leste.
