The Opportunity
Oversee the full spectrum of accounting and financial operations for one or more legal entities. This role combines hands-on ownership of the close process with business partnering responsibilities to drive operational excellence and support strategic decision-making.
Financial Close & Entity Management
- Independently manage and execute month-end and year-end closing for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, deferrals, and balance sheet schedules.
- Own the general ledger and ensure compliance with group policies and local statutory requirements.
- Partner with business and operational teams to understand key drivers of financial performance and provide insights into variances and trends.
- Continuously improve close and reporting processes through automation and system enhancements.
- Analyze revenue and expense accounts, providing variance analysis and insightful explanations.
Compliance, Reporting & Audit
- Ensure full compliance with IFRS or local accounting standards and maintain high-quality documentation and internal controls.
- Prepare and review management and statutory financial statements.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors during annual audits, ensuring efficient completion of audit deliverables.
- Support preparation of corporate income tax, VAT/GST, and other statutory filings, coordinating with external service providers where necessary.
Business Partnership & Process Improvement
- Act as a finance partner to business units, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Evaluate, design, and implement process improvements leveraging technology tools such as NetSuite, Excel, or automation platforms.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, HR, and Strategy team to support new initiatives and entity structuring.
Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, including experience with entity-level ownership or financial close.
- Prior experience in audit or with Big 4/public accounting firms is advantageous.
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is a plus.
- Exposure to fintech, technology, or multi-entity international operations is a plus.
- Good technical accounting knowledge, with the ability to translate accounting impacts into business insights.
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
