Responsibilities
- Conduct and support financial due diligence engagements for M&A transactions, including the analysis of financial statements, management accounts, cash flow, working capital, and key business performance indicators.
- Assist with post-merger integration activities, particularly in relation to business operations, finance, and accounting processes.
- Identify financial risks, opportunities, and operational improvement areas through detailed financial and business analysis.
- Prepare financial due diligence reports, presentations, executive summaries, and other deliverables for clients, management, and stakeholders.
- Perform financial modelling, cash flow forecasting, and working capital assessments to support investment decisions and strategic planning.
- Maintain proper documentation, audit trails, and supporting schedules while ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax, legal, corporate secretarial, and external advisors, to support transaction execution and business initiatives.
- Advise clients on market entry strategies, business expansion opportunities, and investment considerations across Southeast Asia.
- Assist in client relationship management by participating in meetings, responding to inquiries, and supporting business development activities.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of accounting, reporting, and operational procedures.
- Provide support for various ad hoc projects and assignments to ensure the smooth operation of the department and achievement of organizational objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an audit firm or finance due diligence roles.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP, Xero, or QuickBooks.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience supporting M&A processes is highly regarded.
