Join our team as a Senior Accountant, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity of the organization while gaining diverse cross-functional experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain full set of accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, focusing primarily on AP functions.
- Support daily accounting operations and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit the monthly reporting package to Head Office.
- Prepare and review annual financial statements in collaboration with external auditors.
- Prepare quarterly GST reports and assist with Major Exporter Scheme (MES) audits.
- Coordinate with tax consultants for tax matters, computations, and filings.
- Facilitate half-yearly and annual audits with external auditors.
- Implement new finance optimisation tools across subsidiaries.
- Update work instructions post-implementation or upgrade of accounting software.
- Address finance and accounting-related issues raised by subsidiaries.
- Support finance projects and initiatives for continuous process improvement.
- Assist with company secretarial duties, including the preparation of directors resolutions and related documents.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a higher professional qualification such as ACCA.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and other accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
