Senior Accountant (On Site)

Job Description

• Manage full sets of accounts for a portfolio of clients.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
• Prepare management accounts, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain balance-sheet schedules and perform bank, intercompany, and other account reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns accurately and on time.
• Record and review accounting transactions to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial records.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information, resolve accounting matters, and provide timely updates.
• Support audit, tax, and statutory reporting requirements by preparing the necessary schedules and documentation.
• Review the work of junior team members and provide guidance where required.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting quality.
• Undertake other accounting-related responsibilities appropriate to the role.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy, Business or Finance
• Professional accounting qualification or progress toward one
• At least 4 years of relevant accounting experience, including experience managing full sets of accounts
• Previous experience in an accounting, audit, or professional-services firm
• Experience reviewing junior team members work
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks Online are preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and Singapore GST requirements
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple client assignments and meet deadlines independently
