Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for finance/accounting duties, focusing on financial, statutory and regulatory reporting, analysis, implementation of internal controls, improvement of existing processes, taxation and other ad hoc matters as assigned bymanagement. He/She will be working closely with the Chief Accountant.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the Chief Accountant in financial, statutory and regulatory reporting.

2. Work closely with internal stakeholders for all finance/accounting related matters.

3. Highlight any anomalies or outage in GL reconciliation and ensure all issues are closed on a timely manner.

4. Take charge of the monthly balance sheet and P&L analysis.

5. Involve in corporate tax, transfer pricing documentation and GST reporting.

6. Liaise with external auditors and tax agent for all statutory and regulatory requirements.

7. Participate in ad hoc projects such as regulatory reporting automation, system implementation and process improvement.

Requirements

. University degree in Accounting/Finance and/or professional certification

. Minimum 10 years relevant experience in finance & accounting in the banking industry with managerial experience. Prior experience in regulatory reporting, corporate tax and GST reporting will be required.

. Able to communicate well with various stakeholders.

. Well organized and meticulous in details.

. Good IT skills. Strong MS Excel knowledge will be highly regarded.

. Good understanding and knowledge of financial markets,investment products and treasury related products (derivatives, debt and equitysecurities).

. Able to work independently or as a team.

. Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
