An established single family office with over US$1b AUM across multi-asset classes worldwide, looking to add a Senior Accountant to their finance team.
Your new role
The Senior Accountant supports the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of this single family office. This role focuses on transaction processing, reconciliations, reporting support and administrative finance tasks while maintaining strict confidentiality. It will be reporting to the Finance Manager.
Financial Accounting:
- Prepare and analyse all relevant accounting records, reconciliations and schedules for accuracy and completeness for the investment fund entities for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing in accordance with Financial Reporting Standards in Singapore (FRS)
- Maintain general ledger entries and supporting documentation
- Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual closings in accordance with FRS
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Investment & Treasury Support:
- Record investment transactions as instructed (capital calls, distributions, dividends, interest)
- Track cash balances and assist with wire transfers and payments
- Maintain organised records of investment statements
Reporting & Operational Support:
- Assisting in preparing the monthly investment report in conjunction with the Investment team
- Assist in tracking and recording of the principals household expenses and personal transactions
- Support budget tracking and variance analysis
- Prepare quarterly GST remission reports for investment entities and ensure timely and accurate submissions
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial information and statutory audited financial statements in FRS to be used for various local statutory filings, tax returns and other statutory or regulatory reports
- Supporting in liaising with external statutory auditors for annual external audits
- Assist with operational tasks of the Company and undertake ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks as assigned
- Continuously improve and/or automate existing processes or create new processes to maximise efficiency
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-8 years of accounting experience
- Understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/SFRS knowledge preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Proficiency in Mandarin to communicate effectively with principals in the business - the role will entail monthly reporting sessions with senior stakeholders conducted in Mandarin
- High attention to detail and discretion
